Kunal Kamra vs Shiv Sena Controversy LIVE Updates: Amid a row over stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra’s alleged defamatory remarks against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray said Kamra has not done anything wrong, rather stated facts and voiced public opinion. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials conducted an inspection to identify unauthorised construction at the Habitat studio, where the controversial stand-up comedy was shot and officials said the management of the venue pulled the shed down after the authorities pointed out it was erected illegally.

Where is Kamra? Kamra, who has been booked at Khar police station, is currently located in Pondicherry, according to Minister Pratap Sarnaik. In the stand-up comedy show, Kamra’s performance featured a parody song, set to the tune of Dil To Pagal Hai, with a reference to Shinde’s 2022 defection from the undivided Shiv Sena. His use of the term “gaddar” triggered sharp criticism from Shiv Sena leaders with MP Naresh Mhaske saying: “You will be forced to flee India.”

Habitat studio ransacked: On Sunday evening, Shiv Sena workers, angered by Kamra’s remarks, ransacked the venue and the hotel where the show was recorded. As many as 12 Sena workers, who were arrested, were produced before the Bandra court and granted bail. After the ransacking incident, Kamra, who has remained largely silent, shared a picture of himself holding a copy of the Indian Constitution with the caption: “The only way forward.”
